Introduction

If you didn't already know, we are the Bexley Branch of CAMRA, (Campaign for Real Ale), which is part of the Kent region. So for all of you who weren't aware of our existence or were wary of attending one of our meetings, don't worry, we're only human like yourselves, (I think!) and enjoy a good drink and socialising as much as anyone else! We hold regular monthly meetings which are far from the usual boring humdrum meetings that you may have experienced among other groups (Not necessarily CAMRA branches!). In fact we enjoy a very light hearted evening without getting officious or stuck in silly little meaningless debates!

Added to that are the planning of and enjoyment of social events, several of which have been experienced since the forming of the Bexley branch in 1975! (yes July this year is our 35th Anniversary!)

We also regularly attend many beer festivals throughout the year both as customers and serving behind the bar.

You can find out about these events and take part by attending our meetings which are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month. The location changes every month, taking our meetings around the branch area so that everybody can have easy access and it gives us a chance to try lots of local pubs and decide which of those establishments are worthy of including in the Good Beer Guide. Our social calendar also includes pub crawls thus enabling us to try as many pubs as possible throughout the year, so it's not just on meeting nights!

More beer, more CHEER!

For details of our meeting dates, locations, events or for further information find us under the Kent CAMRA Meeting list in What's Brewing or click on Meetings link on the left.
